Overview
Welcome to Our Code Of Conduct. These things can be very tedious and boring to read but this is important for you to do so.
Your registration at our event is dependent on you accepting our Code Of Conduct.
If you have any questions, please reach out to hello @ madfurit.org.uk.
If we ever have to change the contents of this page, we will notify all attendees via all possible communication channels.
Mad Fur It is a furry event with a social feel and a festival vibe. We celebrate the various elements which make up much of our wider anthropomorphic community.
We operate in a similar manner to other conventions but have a slightly different approach.
Furry is all about your own identity and freedom of expression which is very important to us. We value our community and wish to keep it safe and enjoyable for everyone. Remember, costume is not consent.
This page also contains additional policies about specific important points, which you should read before registering. Anything not answered here may be in our FAQ.
We support individuals who may have neurodivergence and will help to the best of our ability if support is requested.
Respect
We expect all Attendees, Performers, Staff, Volunteers and Venue Staff to treat each other with dignity and respect.
You may experience or see new things at our event, and we want to help you broaden your horizons about all the weird and wonderful things our community has to offer.
Trans rights are a cornerstone of our ethos and everyone is welcome, no matter their entity.
We encourage:
- Self expression.
- Collaboration.
- Supporting each other, we’re all in this together.
- Awareness of others’ wishes.
- Consent.
Mad Fur It reserves the right to revoke a registration request without explanation, especially on the grounds of community safety.
If you see something concerning, you can report it to ANY member of staff at any time.
We promise we will take the right steps to provide as safe of a space as we can for you, as discreetly and confidentially as possible.
We promise to do whatever we can to help you if you come to us with a problem, but we CAN’T help you if we don’t know something is wrong.
Mad Fur It will take action against individuals who are creating an unsafe space through the use of hate speech, harassment or engaging in behaviour with others in our chats or events without consent (see below).
We also invoke the right to refuse registration for community safety reasons if we see an individual abusing any of our staff, partners or the event itself in any space, in person or online. We take a ZERO tolerance approach to abuse.
If you feel unsafe or see unsafe behaviours happening, let us know immediately. Don’t wait. Talk to us so we can help.
It is not, however, Mad Fur It’s responsibility to solve your interpersonal problems.
Age Policy
Mad Fur It is strictly an 18+ event.
NO ID = NO ENTRY
A valid and in-date government-issued photo ID must be presented at registration, either on the day or during pre-reg at selected events and must match your registration details. We make no exceptions. If your name has changed since your ID document was issued, we will need to see proof of name change at the event with your ID document.
Dress Code
We want you to be safe. You cannot have fun if you aren’t.
If you have a latex allergy, we would strongly recommend you do not attend our event as we cannot guarantee your safety.

General Behaviour

Mad Fur It expects attendees to act appropriately and respectfully in all areas of the venue. If the Mad Fur It team believes that an attendee’s behaviour is deemed inappropriate, further action will be taken.
Poor personal hygiene can ruin the event experience for others. If the Mad Fur It team observes this, we reserve the right to ask an attendee to rectify this and have the right to restrict event spaces until corrected.
It is NOT primarily a kink focused event and as such, has no dark room.
ANY form of sexual activity is not allowed at our event due to government licensing restrictions. We would recommend attending other events which cater to this interest.
Instructions from Mad Fur It staff, venue management and all other external partners must be followed promptly for safety reasons.
Any attempts to influence Mad Fur It’s policies through directly contacting our venue or suppliers will result in immediate removal from the event without refund and a permanent ban from all future events.

These decisions are final.
